The 8th grade boys’ basketball team won 2 of its last 3 games by defeating Windham Middle School 54-52 and Mahoney Middle School 56-49. The Falcons were led by Braiden Pierce who made a team high 6 three pointers against Windham and finished with 22 points. Connor Doolittle had 8 points and Caleb Toman led the team in rebounds with 10. Against Mahoney Middle School, Tyler Hethcoat led the way with 24 points. Garren Post had a team high 13 rebounds and Bronson Damon finished with 4 rebounds and 3 assists. 8th Grade Girls’ Basketball: Together…Everyone…Achieves…More: On the last game of the season, everyone played as a TEAM. Each player was given two personal goals to try and achieve during the game. If each of those goals were met then we should come out with the win against Mahoney. One goal included a certain amount of points and one goal included a certain amount of rebounds. It was amazing to see how many players met their individual goals in order to attain the ultimate team goal…..Victory. Players looked to shoot while others positioned themselves for a rebound. Some looked to post low while others looked to play tenacious Defense. Scoring for the Lady Falcons: Maddy Cole-1 point, Jenita Virak- 4 points, Lily Michaud- 4 points, Tiffany Smel- 4 points, Kiana Whitmore- 4 points, Leah Cromarty- 7 points, Natalie LaBrie- 12 points. Playing Aggressive Defense: Brianna Lopez, Kennedy Beckner. The Westbrook 7th grade Boys had an impressive victory over an undefeated Mahoney on Monday, outscoring their opponents 64-44. The Falcons led for most of the game, but Mahoney stuck around, bringing it to within 5 in the last quarter. The Falcons held their composure and outworked Mahoney late in the game to further the gap and seal the win. Shout outs to Ryan Stone for some impressive playmaking and scoring opportunities. Carter Dow, Jackson Sanders, and Micah Lombardo for some much needed points in the 4th. The Falcons also had at least three players take charges in the paint throughout the game leading to some positive momentum swings. Great team effort by all! Westbrook will wrap up their season with two games this week. Home at Gorham on Wednesday and at SMC on Thursday.

Cheering will be 4:30 – 6:00 p.m. in the caf. Girls must go home and come back for practice
