Laptop News: If you were not able to attend the MLTI meeting and you are a parent of a 7th grade student who has not attended aprevious meeting, a video has been posted on the WMS website (westbrookschools.org) that you will be required to watch. After watching the video, please call the main office at 854-0830 to speak with Principal Wood regarding the video.
Swim will officially start today at the community center. Swimmers will be dismissed with 1st floor bus students. A bus will transport the swimmers from the middle school to the community center. Parents are responsible for picking up their child at the community center by 4:15. The only exception to this rule is for this week. This week we will be transported over to the community center and the swimmers will do dry land from 3:00-4:00. At 4:00 we will change and get into the pool to swim until 5:00. Swimmers should be picked up no later than 5:15.
Parents meeting- There will be an important parent meeting this Thursday 2/15/18 at 5:15. It will be held on the bleachers above the pool. The coaches will be reviewing team rules, meet schedules and answer any questions that you may have.
Bathing Suits- There will be a representative at practice on Thursday to fit swimmers with team suits. Each swimmer is responsible for contributing 1/2 of the cost to the purchase of their bathing suit and the school will contribute the other half. The parents contribution is $25.00. It is our hope that the suit will last more than one year, so the swimmers don’t have to purchase suits yearly. If they are worn only at meets and rinsed out thoroughly…they should last.
Daily Announcements- There is daily announcements for the swimmers at school. Those announcements will be on daily as they are needed. There is a parent bulletin as well with daily announcements. I would suggest that you look at them for write ups as well as announcements about swimming. Any questions: Please contact Nancy Goan @ Goann@westbrookschools.org
Indoor Track: 3:00 - 4:30 p.m.
Wrestling: 2:45 - 4:00 p.m. Wrestlers need to come to the office with 1st floor bus students.
Students wishing to participate in sports MUST complete the Athletic Participation Form and must have written proof of a physical within the last 2 years. Any student without proof of a recent physical will not be allowed to participate until this is received. If you have any questions, please contact Melissa Foye at email@example.com.
