Student Council Food Drive: The week of March 12th - 19th, we will be having our annual food drive. The items will be donated to the Community Center. We always have a TON of food and items to donate and they are always very appreciative.

5th grade band news: We will have three full band rehearsals to prepare for our upcoming concert. Please mark these dates and be sure you have your instrument! Students have concert music to practice in addition to their assignments! The dates are: Monday, March 5; Monday, March 12; and Monday, March 19. SPRING CONCERT: Tuesday, March 20 @ 7 p.m. in the WPAC.
7th and 8th Grade Bands and 8th Grade Chorus SPRING CONCERT. Monday, March 12th at the WPAC. Please wear concert dress clothes! Band students arrive at 6:45 and chorus students at 6:30 p.m.

PTO Fundraiser: Our PTO is heading up a Dunkin Donut card fundraiser. Purchase a card (and a cozy) for $20 and you can get an iced or hot coffee every Sunday in 2018. The card is good in Maine and Carrol and Coos Counties in NH only. You can pick one up here in the Main office.

Laptop News: If you were not able to attend the MLTI meeting and you are a parent of a 7th grade student who has not attended a previous meeting, a video has been posted on the WMS website (westbrookschools.org) that you will be required to watch. After watching the video, please call the main office at 854-0830 to speak with Principal Wood regarding the video.
Indoor Track Results: The indoor track season started off strong with a victory over Gorham and Lincoln middle schools.
First place finishers for the girls: Graca Bila (hurdles and 240), Rose Dihn (hurdles), Morgan Shibles (hurdles), Jemima Kabangu (40), Molly Young (440), Ava Cavanaugh (440), Haley Ball (600), Shyla Gailey (150), Marie Ange Lomomboli (240), Sarah Muka (shot), and the 6th grade relay.
First place finishers for the boys: Herlin Martinez (hurdles), Aidan Pecoraro (hurdles and the open mile), Bronson Damon (440), Dominic Brunner (shot), and the 6th and 8th grade relay teams.

Westbrook Middle School Swim Results: Westbrook Middle School had their first swim meet at home on Friday against Massabesic. The Falcons welcomed several new swimmers this season that added some impressive swims to the meet.The new swimmers are: 6th grade: Andie Giraso, Ivy Manning, Jason Blake, Ryan Howard and Sam Bareti; Grade 7: Ananda Mahoro, Ethan Aube; 8th grade:Ali Kenney, Lily Goguen
Coming in first place in their individual events were: Ali Kenney- 50 Yard Backstroke; Ciera St. Pierre- 100 Yard Backstroke; Ava Lamontagne- 50 Yard Freestyle and 100 Yard Breaststroke; Kaleb Dubay- 50 Yard Backstroke and 100 Yard Freestyle. Great job Falcons!
Westbrook wrestlers competed against teams from Windham and Wells. Winning matches for Westbrook were Zach Davis, Sharif Sharif, Andrew Woody, Gavin Tanner, Luke Burns, Bryce Thompson. Westbrook competes again on Tuesday against Scarborough and Biddeford.

Students wishing to participate in sports MUST complete the Athletic Participation Form and must have written proof of a physical within the last 2 years.
