Fuel Up to play 60 will be hosting a dodge ball tournament tomorrow after school. You must sign up online in order to attend. Come dressed and ready to have some fun with us! Please be ready to take the late bus home or arrange for a ride at 4:00. We hope staff will play with us, too! It will be a fun way to get your 60 minutes of daily physical activity!
5th Grade Fun Night: Tomorrow night is 5th Grade Fun Night! The date is this Friday. The time is 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Cost for entry is $4.00 - $3.00 with a Falcon Card
Student Council Food Drive: The food drive continues through tomorrow. Items will be donated to the Community Center to benefit people in need in our community. Thank you to all who contribute!
Yearbook Club: Will meet directly after school on Tuesday, April 3rd, in Mrs. Beckwith's room
A reminder to all GT art students: Your next GT Art meeting will be held during lunch in the library on Tuesday, April 10th. Please bring all of your project work to this meeting.
Band and Chorus News:
Congratulations to the WMS Wind Ensemble for their outstanding Gold Medal performance at the concert band festival! The wind ensemble earned Superior ratings in 12 musicianship categories as well as a score of a 94 out of 100 and a perfect score in sight reading! Congrats!
Also a special congratulations to the 6th grade band and chorus students for a fantastic spring concert last night. We are proud of you!
There is no wind ensemble rehearsal Friday morning this week. Please bring all music on Monday morning to plan for our next concert band festival.
5th Grade Band News: Beginning the week of March 26: Sectional classes begin again. Trumpets on Monday, Clarinets and Saxophones on Wednesday, Percussion, Flute and Trombone on Fridays.
Our next full band classes will be on the following dates: Monday, April 30th, Monday, May 7th, and Monday May 14th. Please mark your calendars!
Our final concert of the year will be All City Band at the WHS gymnasium on Tuesday, May 15th @ 7 p.m. Please note the location!
We will also have two parades (music to be memorized): Memorial Day (May 28) and Together Days (June 2).
April 4- 8th Grade Band and WHS Bands Spring Concert. 8th Graders will perform at 7 p.m. and are expected to stay for the remainder of the concert. More information to follow via email.

Laptop News: If you were not able to attend the MLTI meeting and you are a parent of a 7th grade student who has not attended aprevious meeting, a video has been posted on the WMS website (westbrookschools.org) that you will be required to watch. After watching the video, please call the main office at 854-0830 to speak with Principal Wood regarding the video.

Spring sports start soon! Please keep checking this site for updates on meeting times and try-out schedules. All students wishing to participate in a spring sport should check their email and fill out the form to sign up. All students must have doctor’s proof of a recent physical (within the last 2 years) and turn in completed athletic paperwork. Any student who has NOT participated in a sport this school year must click on this link WMS Athletic Participation Forms & have these forms filled out and signed by a parent or guardian. We offer the following spring sports:
