Spring Pictures: Spring pictures have been given out. Please bring them home to your parents and keep any pictures (either individually or the entire package) that you want and return the remaining pictures along with payment. If you do not want any of the pictures, just return the entire intact package as soon as possible. Lifetouch will be following up on un-returned pictures that haven't been paid for. Thank you!
Spring Into Reading: Please turn your vacation reading forms into the library or give them to your homeroom teacher. Today is the deadline to pass in your forms.
Attention GT Art Students,: Please turn in your finished art project to Ms. Jacobs in the Art Room by the end of the day today.
Kaleidoscope Club: Today the Kaleidoscope Club will be hosting a Day of Silence in respect for members of the LGBTQ community who were and are not able represent themselves as they truly are and also to illustrate the silencing effect of bullying and harassment on LGBTQ students and those perceived to be LGBTQ. If you would like to join Kaleidoscope Club to take the pledge of silence, please meet us in the First Floor Common Area this morning directly after announcements.
Guitar Club: Will meet today after school in Ms. Trace's room.
WMS Annual Talent Show: Be practicing over the weekend as we are still looking for more diverse acts like dancers, comedians, and jugglers. There will be another audition on Monday after school in Mr. Moulen’s room. Stop by the office for an application or see Ms. Trace or Mr. Moulen. The Talent Show is on Thursday, May 3 at 6 pm. All participants will be required to stay after school on the 3rd for a dress rehearsal in the PAC.

Band News: Our final concert of the year will be All City Band at the WHS gymnasium on Tuesday, May 15th @ 7 p.m. Please note the location! We will also have two parades (music to be memorized): Memorial Day (May 28) and Together Days (June 2).
Honor's Jazz Festival: Students will be leaving today at 1:00 who are participating in the festival. There will be a concert tomorrow afternoon at 2:00 p.m. @ So. Portland High school.
Chorus News: Our 7th Grade Chorus students will be performing the musical Shrek Jr.on Tuesday, May 8th, at 6:00 p.m. Come on down and enjoy the show!

Laptop News: If you were not able to attend the MLTI meeting and you are a parent of a 7th grade student who has not attended aprevious meeting, a video has been posted on the WMS website (westbrookschools.org) that you will be required to watch. After watching the video, please call the main office at 854-0830 to speak with Principal Wood regarding the video.
Dodgeball and Wiffleball will be starting for 5th grade students next week. If you are interested in participating, please come to the office to pick up a permission form. There are still spaces left for both activities.
