Attention Math Team Members in grades 6, 7, and 8: We will NOT have practice this week as our last math meet of the season is today. Our last event will be an ice cream party on Thursday, directly after school. Please stop by for a quick treat while we celebrate all your hard work this year! Tomorrow is A.C.E.S. Day! A.C.E.S. stands for All Children Exercising Simultaneously. This is a day where people all over the world stop what they are doing and exercise at the same time. It has been called the world's largest exercise class with the goal of motivating children to exercise. Our Fuel Up to Play 60 team has created a physical activity break in the form of a video to play in your classroom at 10:10 on Wednesday. Please wear your Fuel Up to Play 60 t-shirt tomorrow if you have one, and let's all be ready have fun while exercising together!
Spring Pictures: Spring pictures have been given out. Please bring them home to your parents and keep any pictures (either individually or the entire package) that you want and return the remaining pictures along with payment. If you do not want any of the pictures, just return the entire intact package as soon as possible. Lifetouch will be following up on un-returned pictures that haven't been paid for. Thank you!
WMS Annual Talent Show: The Talent Show is this Thursday, May 3 at 6 pm. All participants will be required to stay after school on the 3rd for a dress rehearsal in the PAC. Chorus News: Our 7th Grade Chorus students will be performing the musical Shrek Jr.on Tuesday, May 8th, at 6:00 p.m. Here are the remaining rehearsal times: Wednesday, May 2nd - During the school day with everyone - Jack and Jamie; May 7th Morning set up with All kids - Show at 12:15 p.m.; May 8th - SHREK Jr. Students stay after school until show at 6:00 p.m - We will be asking parents to help with pot luck dinner.
All-City Chorus: The All-City Chorus concert is Monday, May 14th, at 7:00 p.m. in the WMS PAC.

Band News: Our final concert of the year will be All City Band at the WHS gymnasium on Tuesday, May 15th @ 7 p.m. Please note the location! We will also have two parades (music to be memorized): Memorial Day (May 28) and Together Days (June 2).

Laptop News: If you were not able to attend the MLTI meeting and you are a parent of a 7th grade student who has not attended aprevious meeting, a video has been posted on the WMS website (westbrookschools.org) that you will be required to watch. After watching the video, please call the main office at 854-0830 to speak with Principal Wood regarding the video.

7th & 8th Grade Baseball 3-5 at the high school--- Players should be dismissed with 1st floor bus, get changed, and begin walking down to the HS.

The 7th grade baseball team won an exciting game Monday, scoring two runs in the last inning to beat a good South Portland team 4-3. Getting hits for the Falcons were: Carter Dow, Steven White, Ryan Franceschi, Quincy Seavey, Ben Eugley, Aidan Pecoraro, Carson Dow, Alex Bean, Ryan Stone, and Jordan King. Pitching well for Westbrook were Carter and Carson Dow - Next game is Wednesday at Gorham.
The 8th grade boys baseball team to a talented South Portland team 7-6 on Monday. Chris Kullman, Zack Davis and Bronson Damon led the offensive charge in a solid opening effort. Bronson Damon, Alec Hodgkins and Chris Kullman battled through some defensive miscues to allow only 3 earned runs. The boys will play their home opener on Friday against a combined Portland team.
Boys' Lacrosse loses against Saco by the score of : 7-3 Jason Shackley scored 2 goals. Julian foster scored one as well. Colbyn Dunphe played defense. Also Evan Norsworthy did a fantastic job in goal by saving 14 shots.
