Good Morning!  Today is a White Day  


Leadership Club:  Will meet tomorrow morning at 7:00 a.m. in Mr. Moulen’s room.


Civil Rights Team:  Will meet tomorrow during 7th Grade lunch in the Guidance office.


PAWSitive Club:  Will meet on Thursday directly after school in Mrs. Jacob’s art room.


Creative Writing:  Will meet tomorrow directly after school in Ms. Libby’s room.


Robotics Team:  Will meet this Friday – 2:45 – 4:00 p.m. in Mr. Moulen’s room.


Attention Math Team Members in grades 6, 7, and 8: We will NOT have practice this week as our last math meet of the season is today. Our last event will be an ice cream party on Thursday, directly after school. Please stop by for a quick treat while we celebrate all your hard work this year! Don't forget to bring in your favorite topping!  5th Grade math team is participating in today's meet also.  Check announcements for when the 5th grade year end celebration is. 


Today is A.C.E.S. Day! A.C.E.S. stands for All Children Exercising Simultaneously. This is a day where people all over the world stop what they are doing and exercise at the same time. It has been called the world's largest exercise class with the goal of motivating children to exercise. Our Fuel Up to Play 60 team has created a physical activity break in the form of a video to play in your classroom at 10:10 on Wednesday. Please wear your Fuel Up to Play 60 t-shirt tomorrow if you have one, and let's all be ready have fun while exercising together!


Spring Pictures: Spring pictures have been given out. Please bring them home to your parents and keep any pictures (either individually or the entire package) that you want and return the remaining pictures along with payment. If you do not want any of the pictures, just return the entire intact package as soon as possible. Lifetouch will be following up on un-returned pictures that haven't been paid for. Thank you!


WMS Annual Talent Show:     The Talent Show is this Thursday, May 3 at 6 pm.  All participants will be required to stay after school on the 3rd for a dress rehearsal in the PAC.  In an effort to help feed our performers on Thursday before the show, could you please help us out by clicking on the link below and signing up to bring something. We will be feeding approximately 30 students. Thank you for supporting our students as they share their particular talents. We hope you enjoy the show!!


Chorus News:  Our 7th Grade Chorus students will be performing the musical Shrek Jr.on Tuesday, May 8th, at 6:00 p.m.  Here are the remaining rehearsal times:  Wednesday, May 2nd - During the school day with everyone - Jack and Jamie; May 7th Morning set up with All kids - Show at 12:15 p.m.; May 8th - SHREK Jr. Students stay after school until show at 6:00 p.m - We will be asking parents to help with pot luck dinner.


All-City Chorus:  The All-City Chorus concert is Monday, May 14th, at 7:00 p.m. in the WMS PAC.


Northern Stars:  Brooklyn Thayer, Griffin Lucas, Anthony Hicks, Aiden Taylor, Kayla Jensen, Alexis Demers, Kierra Holbrook, Chelsea Preston, Muriyo Omar, Joana Massanga, Aubrey Blake, Charlie Tanguay, Sophia Le, Layce Young – And the winner of the drawing is: Alexis Demers! Congratulation to all!


Band News:  Our final concert of the year will be All City Band at the WHS gymnasium on Tuesday, May 15th @ 7 p.m.  Please note the location!  We will also have two parades (music to be memorized):  Memorial Day (May 28) and Together Days (June 2).

Laptop News:  If you were not able to attend the MLTI meeting and you are a parent of a 7th grade student who has not attended aprevious meeting, a video has been posted on the WMS website ( that you will be required to watch.  After watching the video, please call the main office at 854-0830 to speak with Principal Wood regarding the video.  




Dodgeball:  2:45 - 4:00 p.m.  tomorrow after school with Ms. Mawhinney.  Please grab your snack and meet in the gym.


Sports Schedule:


7th grade BB/SB at Gorham- Bus leaves at 2:45 and players should be dismissed with 1st floor bus


B & G LAX practice 2:45-4:15 p.m.


No 8th grade baseball practice today!


Track:  Home meet vs BE/SMC/King @ 3:30 p.m. at WHS


Sport Results:


Girls' Lacrosse opened their season on the road vs Saco Middle School with a big WIN 17 to 6.  Lily Ranco, Morgan Shibles, Morgan Pednault and Ava Cavanaugh together scored our goals.  Natalie LaBrie and Jenita Virak played their first lacrosse game with outstanding efforts contributing on both offense and defense.  Sophia Schildroth played a strong game as a first time goalie and had 10 saves.  Great job to all the girls!
