6th - 8th Grade Open House: will be on Thursday, September 13th, from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.
Student Council will have its first meeting on Monday September 17th from 2:45-4:00 in the library. This is for anyone who is interested in participating, even if you can't stay for the whole time! Late bus is available.
First Day of School Paperwork: Please return your filled-in and signed forms to your child's teacher or the main office as soon as possible. For your child's safety, it is VERY important to have the correct addresses and phone numbers of emergency contacts. Thank you for your attention to this matter!!! Also, a reminder that 5th and 6th grade parents do NOT have to sign the 1st page of the Laptop agreement. There is no insurance for those grade levels regarding their computer as they do not bring them home.

Intramural Sports: There are four intramural sports being offered to our 5th and 6th Graders this fall: Boys’ Basketball; Girls’ Basketball; Boys’ and Girls’ Kickball; and Boys’ and Girls’ indoor Soccer. Those will all begin the week on September 10th . Today is the first day of Indoor Soccer! All students participating in indoor soccer please report to Ms. Mawhinney’s classroom (C121) after walkers and pick-ups have been dismissed.
Kickball students (that have passed in their permission forms) should meet today after school in Mrs. Goan’s art room when the remaining students are dismissed.
Fall Sports: Any 6th, 7th, or 8th grader interested in playing field hockey, soccer, or running X-Country should sign up online and complete all the required paperwork. An updated physical within the past 2 years will also be needed to participate. If anyone has specific questions about athletics they can see Mr. Goan. If anyone has specific questions about the needed paperwork or how to access it, they can see or contact Mrs. Foye. Please remember that all paperwork has to be complete before a student can participate.

Field Hockey: 2:45 - 4:15 p.m.
Cross Country: 2:45 - 4:15 p.m.
Football: 3:00 - 4:30 p.m.
Dear WMS Parents,
Thank you all for your patience as we try to streamline the athletic sign-up and participation paperwork. In the interest of making things easier for all, we have developed new online Athletic Participation Forms for sports sign-ups and all pertinent medical information and athletic expectations. This will make it easier for parents and students to get their required forms to us in a timely manner while also saving paper. Parents will need to click on the links below to access these online forms. Parents will fill out Form A and submit the form which will replace both the sign-up and the medical information form we have used in the past. The links to Form B, Form C and Form D will provide information regarding Code of Expectations, Athletic Eligibility and Concussion Information, etc.
After you have read through the information, you will need to click on the WMS Athletic Participation Release Form (Form E). This form must be printed, initialed, and signed by both the parent and the athlete. This form along with written proof of a recent physical (within 2 years) must be provided to the school BEFORE your child will be able to participate in any WMS sport throughout the year. This is required one time per school year only.
