School is now in session. A reminder that Homeroom starts at 7:45 a.m. and our regular school day ends at 2:30 p.m.
For those who have yet to come to our building during school hours, we now are totally locked down during the school day. If you need to come in to the building to dismiss your child or drop off an item, you will have to press the button on the column just in front and to the right side of the front doors. You will then be buzzed in to the foyer to either sign out your child or drop off your item. If you need to come in to the building for a meeting or event, you will need to sign in and get a visitor badge as usual.

Crayola ColorCycle: WMS is excited to announce its participation in Crayola ColorCycle – an amazing program devised to turn used markers into energy! All around Westbrook Middle School students and teachers will be collecting used markers (including dry erase and highlighters) that are ready to be discarded. The markers will be sent to a facility where they will be converted into clean fuel. This fuel can be used to power vehicles, heat homes, cook meals and more! Please help support our efforts by sending your kids in with any used markers you may have around the house – even non-Crayola brands. Drop-off boxes will be located around the school for your child to deposit the markers. Thank you in advance for participating in our effort to increase sustainability! Happy recycling!
Flu Clinic: Our flu clinic this year will be held on Thursday, October 25th. Here is our form. It does not need to be back in until the beginning of October. Flu Clinic Form

Write up for 6th/7th grade FH: The girls showed great enthusiasm and effort all game! It was an awesome battle to watch and see the girls use all they have learned in practice so far. A stand out 6th grader was Mackenzie Hall; she was always there to help out and never gave up on the ball. 7th graders Jillian, Dori, Nora, and Elly also made great offensive efforts to keep the game play even. 6th graders Denali and Izzy also held the backfield down very well with the consistent pressure Scarborough was putting on us. Overall, I was so impressed with all the girls in one way or another and can’t wait to see them grow even further as the season continues.
Dear WMS Parents,
Thank you all for your patience as we try to streamline the athletic sign-up and participation paperwork. In the interest of making things easier for all, we have developed new online Athletic Participation Forms for sports sign-ups and all pertinent medical information and athletic expectations. This will make it easier for parents and students to get their required forms to us in a timely manner while also saving paper. Parents will need to click on the links below to access these online forms. Parents will fill out Form A and submit the form which will replace both the sign-up and the medical information form we have used in the past. The links to Form B, Form C and Form D will provide information regarding Code of Expectations, Athletic Eligibility and Concussion Information, etc.
After you have read through the information, you will need to click on the WMS Athletic Participation Release Form (Form E). This form must be printed, initialed, and signed by both the parent and the athlete. This form along with written proof of a recent physical (within 2 years) must be provided to the school BEFORE your child will be able to participate in any WMS sport throughout the year. This is required one time per school year only.
