School is now in session. A reminder that Homeroom starts at 7:45 a.m. and our regular school day ends at 2:30 p.m.
For those who have yet to come to our building during school hours, we now are totally locked down during the school day. If you need to come in to the building to dismiss your child or drop off an item, you will have to press the button on the column just in front and to the right side of the front doors. You will then be buzzed in to the foyer to either sign out your child or drop off your item. If you need to come in to the building for a meeting or event, you will need to sign in and get a visitor badge as usual.

Crayola ColorCycle: WMS is excited to announce its participation in Crayola ColorCycle – an amazing program devised to turn used markers into energy! All around Westbrook Middle School students and teachers will be collecting used markers (including dry erase and highlighters) that are ready to be discarded. The markers will be sent to a facility where they will be converted into clean fuel. This fuel can be used to power vehicles, heat homes, cook meals and more! Please help support our efforts by sending your kids in with any used markers you may have around the house – even non-Crayola brands. Drop-off boxes will be located around the school for your child to deposit the markers. Thank you in advance for participating in our effort to increase sustainability! Happy recycling!

Here is the 8th grade field hockey write up against Scarborough. The 8th grade girls showed a great deal of leadership and work ethic in our game against Scarborough. Goal keeper, Maddie Boucher, had an outstanding game with numerous saves. Defensively, the girls played well and Leah Cromarty played an excellent game with strong defensive hits and blocks. Midfielder, Lila Napolitano and forward, Nadia Gorham worked well together pushing the ball into the offensive circle. Overall, I was more than impressed with each player, we played like a team! It was a great start to begin our season, and I can't wait to watch the girls improve their level of play game by game!
Dear WMS Parents,
Thank you all for your patience as we try to streamline the athletic sign-up and participation paperwork. In the interest of making things easier for all, we have developed new online Athletic Participation Forms for sports sign-ups and all pertinent medical information and athletic expectations. This will make it easier for parents and students to get their required forms to us in a timely manner while also saving paper. Parents will need to click on the links below to access these online forms. Parents will fill out Form A and submit the form which will replace both the sign-up and the medical information form we have used in the past. The links to Form B, Form C and Form D will provide information regarding Code of Expectations, Athletic Eligibility and Concussion Information, etc.
After you have read through the information, you will need to click on the WMS Athletic Participation Release Form (Form E). This form must be printed, initialed, and signed by both the parent and the athlete. This form along with written proof of a recent physical (within 2 years) must be provided to the school BEFORE your child will be able to participate in any WMS sport throughout the year. This is required one time per school year only.
