School is now in session. A reminder that Homeroom starts at 7:45 a.m. and our regular school day ends at 2:30 p.m.
For those who have yet to come to our building during school hours, we now are totally locked down during the school day. If you need to come in to the building to dismiss your child or drop off an item, you will have to press the button on the column just in front and to the right side of the front doors. You will then be buzzed in to the foyer to either sign out your child or drop off your item. If you need to come in to the building for a meeting or event, you will need to sign in and get a visitor badge as usual.

Crayola ColorCycle: WMS is excited to announce its participation in Crayola ColorCycle – an amazing program devised to turn used markers into energy! All around Westbrook Middle School students and teachers will be collecting used markers (including dry erase and highlighters) that are ready to be discarded. The markers will be sent to a facility where they will be converted into clean fuel. This fuel can be used to power vehicles, heat homes, cook meals and more! Please help support our efforts by sending your kids in with any used markers you may have around the house – even non-Crayola brands. Drop-off boxes will be located around the school for your child to deposit the markers. Thank you in advance for participating in our effort to increase sustainability! Happy recycling!

The middle school football team had its toughest challenge to date last Saturday with a BIG 28-6 win over a formidable Yarmouth/Greely combination team. Our Falcon gridironers pulled out all the bells and whistles for this victory. Notable key plays Saturday were the Joker reverse runs by Ilios Millet and Steven White; pinpoint passing between Carter Dow, Aiden Taylor, and Juilan Fuller; hard scrabble running with Jackson Sanders banging up the middle; and head's up special team plays by Brady Harvey and Ethan Gautreau. The defense, which was led by Ben Eugley and Carter Dow, also had a strong game by giving up only one touchdown. This was another great all around team effort. This coming Saturday we'll be playing Freeport at the high school field at 3:00.
