Good Morning!

To clarify the school rule about hats and hoods: All hats and hoods must be removed by the time students are entering homeroom in the morning. After that, hats and hoods are only allowed to be worn when outside at recess. No hats or hoods are allowed while in class or in the hallways during the day. This is rule in in place for safety reasons as well as to respect the working environment of the school.Also, a reminder that any blankets being worn as an outer garment like a coat must be in your locker and left there during the day.


6th through 8th Grade Math Team:  There will no practice this week. See you again on the January 7th.


Builders Club:  Meeting today at 2:45 p.m. in Room 208.


The WMS Talent Show will be held on Thursday, January 17th, in the PAC! Come singer, dancer, magicians, comedians, whatever your talent, join our show! The first audition is on Thursday, January 3rd, after school in the first floor common area. Get your act ready over the holiday break and come prepared with your music for the January 3rd audition. See Ms Trace in room 120 or Mr. Moulen in the STEAM room if you have any questions.


Robotics Club: Will meet today and tomorrow after school with Mr. Moulen


Drama Club: Today and next Tuesday, rehearsal is from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Students should try to get a ride home so they can stay to the end of rehearsal. Our show is next Thursday at 6p.m. Students should plan on staying after school on the night of the show, and a light meal will be provided for them. All of this is mandatory for everyone. Please have your costumes with you for today's rehearsal.


Youth Leader:  Interested in learning more about being a youth leader? All 7th and 8th graders who want to learn more about this flex block opportunity can attend an information session in the common area during intervention today. Learn more about YLC to see if you want to join for your next flex block session.


Attention all middle school softball players:  Starting Sunday, January 6th, there will be off-season training at the Westbrook Community Center.  Practices are from 5-6:00 p.m. on Sundays and Wednesdays and are not mandatory but are completely optional.  For more information, please come to the office for a flyer.  This information has also been sent home in Thursday folders and our parent daily email.


Glow Dance: The Westbrook Middle School Leadership Club is sponsoring our Annual Glow Dance on Friday, January 11th: The dance is for 6th-8th grade students and will be from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. with concessions starting at 5:30 p.m. Entry is $5.00 ($1 for Falcon card holders) Glow products, face painting and glow nails will be available at concessions.

MLTI Laptop Video:  For those parents who were not able to attend the laptop meeting, please click on the parent resource tab on our home page and click on WMS Laptop Meeting Video.  After watching the video, please call us so that you can check in with Principal Wood regarding the video.
