Late Bus: Late bus is available to students Mon-Tues-Thurs & Friday and leaves WMS at approximately 4:05. Students have to have a late bus pass from a staff member, or coach to ride the late bus.
Leadership Club: We meet this Thursday morning at 7:00 a.m. in Mr. Moulen’s room. If you are a brand new member to the Leadership Club, your first meeting will be next Monday, September 16th! Look for our table at this Thursday's Open House for more info regarding our club.
Builders Club! There will be an informational meeting on Thursday after school in Mrs. Boucher’s room, C208. We will be discussing the schedule and plans for the upcoming year!! If you can’t attend the meeting, please see Mrs. Boucher.

Fall Picture Day: Wednesday, September 11th, is fall picture day. Forms have gone home with students. You can either have your child return the form with the EXACT amount either in cash or check payable to Lifetouch (these are given to the photographer on picture day) or you can also order online at any time using the code LG389116Q0 at mylifetouch.com This year, Lifetouch is working in conjunction with Shutterfly. If you order online, you get a free 8x8 photo book and a drawstring backpack for your student on shutterfly.com.
6th - 8th Grade Open House: Open house for 6th through 8th grade students will take place on Thursday, September 12th, at 6:00 p.m.
Summer Reading Bingo cards can be turned into the library until Friday. The library be in touch about a celebration soon after.
Chorus: Mrs. Andrade will be holding 6th grade SELECT CHORUS auditions tomorrow during intervention.
There’s a change in the schedule for the week for chorus - 7th Grade Chorus will be on TUESDAY during flex and 8th Chorus will be on FRIDAY during flex. THIS WEEK ONLY!
Band News: All band students in grades 5-8 need to bring in $8 to Mrs. Smith for your SmartMusic account. Please email Mrs. Smith if you need any financial assistance!
5th Grade Band announcement: Please attend our open house on Saturday morning here at the middle school! Drop in anytime between 8-11 a.m. to pick up your instrument (if you are renting from Music and Arts, or borrowing from the school), get your first lesson, buy necessary supplies and see a demonstration about SmartMusic! 5th Grade Band Students and Parents: Please note that instruments will not be needed for classes until the week of September 16th. Please join us for the 5th grade band open house on Saturday, September 14th. You can drop in any time between 8-11 a.m. and get your first lesson, set up an instrument rental, learn about SmartMusic, and purchase a book or needed supplies! 6th-8th Grade Band News: SmartMusic is changing its format this year!!! We will be converting to the new SmartMusic for assignment practice, completion, and submission. This new format is WEB BASED and can be completed on a school issued laptop, and/or devices at home like Chromebooks, iPads, laptops, and computers. Please do not renew your classic subscription and wait for directions from Mrs. Smith about how to set up NEW SmartMusic. Can’t wait to have you in class again!!

Band students grades 6-8 SmartMusic subscription update: The format for getting your SmartMusic subscriptions has changed. Please have your child bring in $8 cash or $8 check made out to Westbrook Music Boosters to Mrs. Smith as soon as possible. We will be loading up all subscriptions for SmartMusic and will be sending directions shortly for you to connect at home! Assignments will begin the week of September 16th. 6th-8th grade Field Hockey will meet with Coach Raymond and Coach LeBlanc today after school in the caf. Late bus will be available.
Cross Country: Are you interested in running Cross Country this Fall? Our first meeting is today after school. Please come to Mrs. Goan’s art room (A111) when walkers are dismissed and be ready to have some fun!
Girls' Soccer: Will meet today after school in the cafeteria until 4:00.
6/7th grade boy’s soccer will practice today after school from 2:30 to 4:00 pm. Students taking the late bus should see Mr. Brigham or Mr. Connolly to get a pass.
Planned Absence Form: Students that are traveling for 3 or more days outside school vacation times need to fill out a Planned Absence form. This gives teachers, the attendance secretary and administrators notice that that child will be away and also let them know about how they will make up work. Please click here for a form.

Healthy snacks are provided for our students each day at 9:00 every morning. This is provided through our Fresh Fruit and Veggie Program. It is funded by a grant from USDA based on the percentage of free and reduced eligibility. We serve a snack of fresh fruit or vegetables daily Monday through Thursday.
