Yankee Candle Fundraiser: The PTO sponsored Yankee Candle Fundraiser is almost over!! The fundraiser due date is today!!
Students: A reminder that if you are planning to get breakfast at school, you should come right in off your bus and get it. Please don’t wait until homeroom is starting because that will make you late for homeroom.
Robotics Team: Will be meeting today in Mr. Moulen’s room
Leadership Club: Will be having a club member only event tonight from 5-8 p.m. See Mr. Moulen or Mrs. Dugas for a ticket for tonight’s event. Also Leadership Club will meet on Monday after school in Mr. Moulen’s room to continue planning for our 5th grade Movie Night scheduled for Thursday, October 10th.
PAWSitive Club: The fall session of PAWSitive club will meet today after school in Ms. Nash's room (C203). Check the first floor commons to see what session you are in. All sessions are full.
Attention 5th grade Mathletes! There will be an informational meeting on Monday, October 7th, 2:45-4:00 in Mrs. Bradbury’s room, C114. If you cannot make the informational meeting but are interested to find out what we are about, please see Mrs. Bradbury for more information.
Attention 6th through 8th grade Mathletes! Math Team Practices start next week. 7th Graders will meet on Tuesdays before school, 8th graders will meet on Wednesdays before school, and 6th graders will meet on Thursdays before school. We start at 7:00 a.m. For any 6th, 7th, or 8th grader who cannot make the before school math team meetings, we will have one afternoon meeting each week on Tuesdays starting 10/8/19. We will end in time for the late bus. Please see Ms. Urban in C205 with any questions or concerns about 6th thru 8th grade math team.
Kaleidoscope Club is cancelled for October 8. All interested 7th and 8th graders are welcome to attend our next meeting on Tuesday, October 15 in Mr. Allshouse’s room, allies and LGBTQ+ students alike. We provide a safe space to meet, support each other, and talk about issues involving equality and acceptance.
Library News: The library still has 5 autographed copies of Words with Fire by Jennifer Nielsen. They are $16.
5th and 6th graders were wowed by best-selling author Jennifer A Nielsen on Monday. She told students that Words have Power and definitely inspired them! All our library copies of her books are completely checked out with long hold lists...we are so thrilled that she excited our readers at WMS!

Band News: HONORS BAND GRADES 7 & 8- please sign up for an audition spot on Mrs. Smith’s door by Thursday, October 10th. If you need help with your audition, please come to the band room at 7:20 a.m. any morning!

Falcon's Nest: Falcon's Nest is up and running for the second year!! The Falcon's Nest is able to offer snacks/ food, clothing, shoes, school supplies and toiletries to students. Community support is appreciated to keep the shelves full. Snacks (no nut items), school supplies and toiletries are welcomed anytime and can be dropped off in the main office. For clothing donations, our space is limited and needs vary from season to season, please contact Amie Boucher at firstname.lastname@example.org prior to clothing donations. Thank You!!!
Planned Absence Form: Students that are traveling for 3 or more days outside school vacation times need to fill out a Planned Absence form. This gives teachers, the attendance secretary and administrators notice that that child will be away and also let them know about how they will make up work. Please click here for a form.

Late Bus: Late bus is available to students Mon-Tues-Thurs & Friday and leaves WMS at approximately 4:05. Students have to have a late bus pass from a staff member, or coach to ride the late bus.
