Good Morning!! Today is a Blue Day

​Spirit Week: Spirit Week, sponsored by our Student Council, starts today with pajama day; Tuesday: Twin Day; Wednesday: Dress as a teacher/student day; Thursday: Wear your costume day (remember no mask or really scary costumes please); Friday: School pride day

Leadership Club: Will meet today after school with Mr. Moulen.

Kaleidoscope Club: Will meet on Monday after school in Mr. Allshouse’s room.

7th Grade Math: Will meet tomorrow morning at 7:00 a.m. with Mrs. Urban

6-8th Grade Math Team will meet tomorrow after school with Mrs. Urban

5th grade Math team: Will meet tomorrow after school from 2:45-3:45. Make sure you have turned in your permission slip or you will not be able to stay!

Drama Club: Will meet tomorrow after school in the PAC. There will be no Drama club on Thursday this week.

The PTSO is sponsoring a Halloween Dance on Friday, November 1st. Dance is from 6-8:00 p.m. Cost for the dance is $5.00. Concessions will be available. There will also be a costume contest. Come if you dare!! And Leadership Club members, be on the hunt for our chaperones!

Builder's Club will be helping Operation Gratitude by collecting leftover Halloween candy November 1-5th to send to military troops. Candy can be dropped in the main office or Mrs Boucher’s room.

Honor’s Chorus: 7th and 8th grade honors chorus students auditioning on Wednesday - please see Mrs Andrade for info about when you audition this week. There will be no help session for auditions today, but there will be audition help tomorrow, Tuesday October 29th, after school from 2:30 until 4:00 p.m.

7th and 8th Grade Honors Band and Honors Chorus auditions are this WEDNESDAY, Oct. 30th after school! We need parent help with the concession stand and we need lots of donations! Please contact Kim Fickett at if you can donate Stouffer’s Mac and Cheese, baked goods, chips, water, or fruit for this event. If your child is auditioning and needs some extra help, both Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Andrade are offering many help sessions. Mrs. Smith will be available every morning and Mrs. Andrade will have some after school times available. Students who are auditioning need to dress up for their audition, please!

Jazz Band auditions are this Friday or next Friday for grades 6-8. Please sign up for an audition time in the band room!

WMS Band and Chorus Concert Dates (dress code is white tops and black bottoms):

Grades 7 and 8 Winter Concert: Monday, December 9th at 7 p.m.

Grade 6 Winter Concert: Tuesday, December 10th at 7 p.m.

Grade 5 Winter Concert: Monday, December 16th at 7 p.m.

Sports News:

Girls’ and Boys’ Intramural Basketball: Will meet tomorrow after school in the gym

Field Hockey: Away game today vs. Gorham @ 3:30 P.M.

Cross Country: Cross Country- Your banquet is on Friday in the art room at 2:45. We will also have pictures taken then as well.

Soccer: has completed their season so there is no practice.

Sport pictures have been rescheduled for Friday, November 1st. Athletes should make sure they bring their full uniforms.

Winter 1 Sports Sign-Ups begin today! All 6th, 7th & 8th grade students should check their email for the sign-up form. Try-outs for basketball & cheering will begin on Monday, November 4th. Reminder that anyone wishing to tryout or participate in a school sport must have a recent physical on file and must have the required athletic paperwork filled out by your parents. Please see Mrs. Foye with any questions or to get paperwork.

Falcon's Nest: Falcon's Nest is up and running for the second year!! The Falcon's Nest is able to offer snacks/ food, clothing, shoes, school supplies and toiletries to students. Community support is appreciated to keep the shelves full. Snacks (no nut items), school supplies and toiletries are welcomed anytime and can be dropped off in the main office. For clothing donations, our space is limited and needs vary from season to season, please contact Amie Boucher at prior to clothing donations. Thank You!!!

Planned Absence Form: Students that are traveling for 3 or more days outside school vacation times need to fill out a Planned Absence form. This gives teachers, the attendance secretary and administrators notice that that child will be away and also let them know about how they will make up work. Please click here for a form.

Late Bus: Late bus is available to students Mon-Tues-Thurs & Friday and leaves WMS at approximately 4:05. Students have to have a late bus pass from a staff member, or coach to ride the late bus.
