Builder's Club will be helping Operation Gratitude by collecting leftover Halloween candy throught tomorrow to send to military troops. Candy can be dropped in the main office or Mrs Boucher’s room.
Builders Club members please remember to pass in Permission slips for Stroudwater Place, they are due November 8th.
Congratulations to the following students for their acceptance to the 2020 Southern Maine Middle School Honors Band: Manasse Mavungu, Ezra Crabtree, Danny McCartney, Ivy Manning, Sam Bareti, Claire Filiatrault, Nolan Pease, Owen Pilsbury, and receiving the highest score in their section in southern Maine- Shaelie Kiefer and Aiden Taylor!
JAZZ ENSEMBLE AUDITIONS: Students in grades 6-8 who are interested in jazz ensemble need to sign up for an audition time! Auditions will be held after school today and on Friday, November 8th. Please sign up for a time on one of those days and pick up music from Mrs. Smith! Students will need to prepare music for this audition outside of normal class times. Students who are accepted will need to plan to attend rehearsals before school from 7:00 a.m.-7:40 a.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays, and Tuesday after school from 2:45-4:00 p.m. All rehearsals are required to participate.
6th Grade Band students who are interested in honors band need to sign up for an audition on Mrs. Smith’s door! Auditions are after school on November 14th or after school on November 15th. Please choose your day!

Grades 7 and 8 Winter Concert: Monday, December 9th at 7 p.m.
Grade 6 Winter Concert: Tuesday, December 10th at 7 p.m.

Winter 1 Sports Sign-Ups have begun! All 6th, 7th & 8th grade students should check their email for the sign-up form. Try-outs for 6th-8th grade students interested in cheering will begin on Wednesday, November 13th. Try-outs for 7th & 8th grade students interested in basketball will also begin on November 13th. A Reminder that anyone wishing to tryout or participate in a school sport must have a recent physical on file and must have the required athletic paperwork filled out by your parents. Falcon's Nest: Falcon's Nest is up and running for the second year!! The Falcon's Nest is able to offer snacks/ food, clothing, shoes, school supplies and toiletries to students. Community support is appreciated to keep the shelves full. Snacks (no nut items), school supplies and toiletries are welcomed anytime and can be dropped off in the main office. For clothing donations, our space is limited and needs vary from season to season, please contact Amie Boucher at email@example.com prior to clothing donations. Thank You!!!" As the weather starts to get cooler, please consider donating sweatshirts to the Falcon's Nest. The supply is getting low and we are in need of sizes youth large through adult x-large. Please be mindful when donating that these sweatshirts are for middle schoolers. Thank you!!!"
Planned Absence Form: Students that are traveling for 3 or more days outside school vacation times need to fill out a Planned Absence form. This gives teachers, the attendance secretary and administrators notice that that child will be away and also let them know about how they will make up work. Please click here for a form.

Late Bus: Late bus is available to students Mon-Tues-Thurs & Friday and leaves WMS at approximately 4:05. Students have to have a late bus pass from a staff member, or coach to ride the late bus.
