Wednesday announcement: In honor of No Name Calling Week, Kaleidoscope Club and Student Council would like to give you some tips on how to be a strong ally if you see someone being bullied. Today's tip: Say kind words to the person who is being bullied, such as “I’m sorry about what happened,” and “I don’t like it!” Help them understand that it’s not their fault. Be a friend. Invite that student to do things with you, like sit together at lunch or work together on a project.
Big Brothers/Big Sisters: Will meet today after school in the library.
Leadership Club: Will meet tomorrow morning at 7:00 a.m. with Mr. Moulen
Drama Club: Will meet tomorrow after school in the PAC.
6th Grade Math Team: Will meet tomorrow after school with Mrs. Urban.
Builder's Club will be meeting tomorrow after school in Mrs Boucher’s room.
Robotics Club: Will meet tomorrow after school with Mr. Moulen.
Student Council: Will meet tomorrow after school in Ms. Kling’s room
Yearbook Club will hold their first meeting afterschool on Thursday in Ms. Beckwith’s room (C125). Please plan to take the late bus or have your ride arrive by 4 pm.
This Friday Fuel Up to Play 60 will be hosting an after school dodgeball game! You must have a current Fuel Up account in order to attend. Please plan to have a ride home at 4:00 or take the late bus.
Glow Dance: This Friday, January 24th, is our annual Glow Dance. The dance is 6 - 8:00 with doors opening for concessions at 5:30. Cost is $5.00 at the door, $4.00 for Falcon Card holders.
If your child is in need of winter clothing such as boots, jackets, snow pants, hats or gloves be sure to stop by Mrs Boucher’s room and the Falcon’s Nest!!
Yearbooks: are now on sale. Please order online from LifeTouch using code: 11037520. Soft cover yearbooks cost $18. You can choose a hardcover upgrade for an additional $6. Adding your name on the front will cost an additional $5. Flyers have been sent home electronically, but if you want a paper copy, please come down to the office to pick one up.
Planned Absence Form: Students that are traveling for 3 or more days outside school vacation times need to fill out a Planned Absence form. This gives teachers, the attendance secretary and administrator’s notice that that child will be away and also let them know about how they will make up work. Late Bus: Late bus is available to students Mon-Tues-Thurs & Friday and leaves WMS at approximately 4:05. Students have to have a late bus pass from a staff member, or coach to ride the late bus.
