Good Morning! Today is Thursday, January 23, 2020.   It is a Blue Day 

 

Thursday: In honor of No Name Calling Week, Kaleidoscope Club and Student Council would like to give you some tips on how to be a strong ally if you see someone being bullied. Today's tip: Tell that student to talk to someone about what happened. Offer to help by going along.

 

Drama Club: Will meet today after school in the PAC.

 

6th Grade Math Team: Will meet today after school with Mrs. Urban.

 

Builder's Club will be meeting today after school in Mrs Boucher’s room.

 

Robotics Club: Will meet today after school with Mr. Moulen.

 

Student Council: Will meet today after school in Ms. Kling’s room

 

Yearbook Club will hold their first meeting today after school in Ms. Beckwith’s room (C125). Please plan to take the late bus or have your ride arrive by 4 pm.

 

Bowling Club:  Will meet in the 1st floor common area tomorrow after school. This is the last Bowling day.

 

Tomorrow Fuel Up to Play 60 will be hosting an after school dodgeball game! You must have a current Fuel Up account in order to attend. Please plan to have a ride home at 4:00 or take the late bus.

 

Glow Dance:  Tomorrow is our annual Glow Dance!  The dance is 6 - 8:00 with doors opening for concessions at 5:30.  Cost is $5.00 at the door, $4.00 for Falcon Card holders.

 

Criteria for Dance Attendance: 

  1. Student has to attend school on the day of the dance (unexcused arrival after 10:30 a.m. will also not be able to attend)

  2. Students in ISS or OSS on Friday will not be able to attendance the dance.

  3. Students need to report to their grade level table to check in.

  4. 6th Grade students will be dismissed from the gym at 7:45 p.m. 

  5. 7th & 8th grade students will be dismissed at 8:00 p.m.  Please make sure your ride home arrives promptly!!!

 

If your child is in need of winter clothing such as boots, jackets, snow pants, hats or gloves be sure to stop by Mrs Boucher’s room and the Falcon’s Nest!!

 

Yearbooks: are now on sale. Please order online from LifeTouch using code: 11037520. Soft cover yearbooks cost $18. You can choose a hardcover upgrade for an additional $6. Adding your name on the front will cost an additional $5.  Flyers have been sent home electronically, but if you want a paper copy, please come down to the office to pick one up.

 

Planned Absence Form:  Students that are traveling for 3 or more days outside school vacation times need to fill out a Planned Absence form.  This gives teachers, the attendance secretary and administrator’s notice that that child will be away and also let them know about how they will make up work.  Please click here for a form and give it to your student if they inform you that they will be traveling.  Thank you!

Late Bus:  Late bus is available to students Mon-Tues-Thurs & Friday and leaves WMS at approximately 4:05.  Students have to have a late bus pass from a staff member, or coach to ride the late bus.
