Student Council Penny Drive:  It's that time of year for the Penny Drive! March 2nd - March 20th. The Penny Drive is a 3 week fundraiser where homerooms/ classrooms collect money that will go to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society to help children and adults with blood cancers. It's called a "Penny" drive but kids are encouraged to bring any type of change or cash in to donate. Student Council has delivered the boxes to your homeroom. We also gave each classroom a poster to keep track of the money that you raise. You can set a goal as a class. The homeroom that donates the most money in the school will be awarded with lunch.

Maine Spirit Week:  Are you greeting the sun with bright colors and sunglasses today? What location in Maine receives the sun’s first rays every morning? While you are thinking about that, tomorrow we will celebrate the fact that almost 90% of the land in Maine is covered in trees. Dress like the lumberjacks and jills who manage our vast forestlands by wearing flannel or plaid shirts, jeans, and boots and anything else that celebrates the forest. And the answer to our trivia question: it is rather ironic that the easternmost point in Maine is called West Quoddy Head!
